Paramount Names Danielle – Prior to joining Apple De Palma

Prior to joining Apple, De Palma was Executive Vice President of Global Digital Marketing and Marketing Research at Lionsgate, where he managed nearly 200 film companies, including Hunger Games, Earth, Miracle, John Wick and the Diversity Series. Daniel de Palma, Apple’s former CEO of Video Marketing, was named Senior Vice President of National Marketing by Paramount Pictures. In his “new” role, De Palma will be responsible for developing and leading the global marketing strategy for new releases, as well as overseeing the national digital marketing and marketing strategy and data analytics. Paramount also promoted Tamara Tayfeld to senior vice president of digital marketing and reporting for De Palma. Brandon Nichols was also appointed Vice President of Digital Marketing as his previous director of the same team. “Daniel is an experienced marketer with the perfect combination of vision, taste and proven experience to strengthen our strong marketing team and provide valuable voice for our marketing campaigns. De Palma recently held a senior position in Apple’s video marketing department, where he was responsible for marketing films and TV series. Van Palma will report directly to Mark Weinstock, president of global marketing and distribution, and Mary Daley, co-chairman of global marketing and distribution. In his his role, Mr. Salmon uses data analytics to develop and implement marketing strategies. He has also received several Webby, Clio, Shorty and Key Art awards for his “own” work in digital media, strategy, creativity, advertising, website and application development, social media, innovation, data management, and consumer awareness. Prior to joining Paramount in 2016, Nichols was Director of Digital Strategy for the Wider Environment. Jamal Salmon was also recently appointed Executive Vice President of Data Analysis from his previous position as Vice President. Tayfeld has been with Paramount for over 13 years and is a member of the national MGM Studios team. De Palma started his new role in Paramount in September. Prior to joining Paramount in 2017, De Palma was Director of Media and Entertainment Analysis at Google. De Palma started his career as a financial analyst at MGM.
