The most persistent fact for proponents of firearms control is that there is no evidence that a higher percentage of firearms possession is associated with a higher percentage of violent crimes. As a responsible shooter and a supporter of the second amendment, I thought it would be interesting to hear the arguments of a man who researches and writes about constitutional history and rights. Countries such as Israel and Switzerland possessed much more weapons than the United States, but had fewer murders and violent crimes than European countries with strict arms control regulations. There is also no evidence that arms control policies are accompanied by lower levels of violent crime or murder. Recently, I read an article by Jill Sillos-Rooney on ThoughtCo entitled “Three main arguments for arms control”. “Rooney holds a PhD in history and is an associate professor at the Massbei State Community College. Another issue that is often discussed to the detriment of the second amendment is that the United States is at the forefront of the fight against mass shooting. The Crime Prevention Research Center notes that the reason for this correlation is that the increase in the number of firearms possessions is associated with fewer homicides. Rooney argues that there has been a dramatic decrease in firearms-related homicide in Australia following the Government’s stringent firearms control measures. When the founding fathers created the second amendment, they knew, as federalist newspapers and the text of the amendment showed, that the armed population would have weapons equivalent to those of the continent’s army. This example is the work of Adam Lankford, whose study of the mass destruction group has become an important topic of discussion for those who advocate arms control. It would be careless not to mention our good Canadian neighbors, whose provinces in some of them have a higher homicide rate than those American states that are considered to be small arms friendly states. He then joins Joshua Sager in his long work on the Progressive Cynic. Silas-Roney does not provide evidence of his “own” identity, but relies only on blog posts from the self-proclaimed “progressive cynic”. “So, I start with the essentials. New York, Los Angeles and Chicago are among the cities with the strictest gun control laws, but the number of murders in them is still one of the highest. Australia’s arms control policy, referred to by Rooney, is the 1996 National Firearms Agreement, which is one of the most important mandatory arms purchase agreements in the world. Rooney’s second argument for his main statement is as follows: “The Supreme Court ruled in the McDonald v. McDonald case.
