Google reputation information

“Business, more than any other occupation, is a continual dealing with the future; it is a continual calculation, an instinctive exercise in foresight.” – Henry R. Luce

A Google reputation can be a nightmare or it can be a positive. Many people have put their name in the Google search engine only to find some negative thing about their history depicted in the first couple of search results. The individual then wonders if this internet information will stay with them for the rest of their lives, influencing how other people think of them. The nightmare begins when you try to get Google to remove this info, which is nearly impossible, and if they do remove it from the Google search engine, your information may just come up on another search engine.

The positive side to this mess is that you have the power to diminish what can be seen by most people. The information that is on Google that pertains to you, may or may not be true. Either way there exist ways to beat a bad Google reputation by replenishing the search engine with all the good information about a you. One has to take a proactive stance, and incorporate what they, as an individual, want people to know. It may take a little time to accomplish this task, but when you realize that employers and others are going to make decisions about you based on Google information, the time it takes to fix your reputation is worth it.
